Many members of the Ghanaian community are available to share cross-cultural ideas and make presentations to schools, churches, business groups and community-based organizations. In 1998, an organization known as the Ghana Association of Pittsburgh (GHAP) was formed to provide a forum for promoting cultural and educational programs to enhance the quality of life of its members and other residents of the region. The organization offers assistance to members in times of need, and contributes to the development of Ghana. Its activities are open to the public.
