British American Business Council Pittsburgh Region, Inc (BABC)
 In the Pittsburgh region, the British-American Business Council (BABC) is part of an international business association that promotes trade and investment between the United States and the United Kingdom. It does so through an active program of business and social events, publications, online newsletters and various marketing and trade services.
The BABC also provides transatlantic business research; access to an extensive network of business contacts and offers its members unique promotional opportunities for their organizations.
Established in 1995, the BABC - Pittsburgh region is one of 23 chapters based throughout the United Kingdom and the United States. It has earned a reputation of being an important vehicle for bringing together the British and American communities in order to exchange information and develop an environment in which investment, trade, and ultimately, new business can flourish.
Recent statistics show that the Pittsburgh region has 264 British-owned establishments operating in the region, employing about 7,416 people.

Pittsburgh-Sheffield Sister City Agreement Pittsburgh and Sheffield - an ocean apart, but sister cities in many respects. The Coalition also facilitates communication about the safety, efficacy, and use of vaccines within the broad immunization community of patients, parents, health care organizations, and government health agencies. VIS are information sheets produced by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that explain to vaccine recipients, their parents, or their legal representatives both the benefits and risks of a vaccine.
