Overview
From the Scandinavians communities maybe the first coming were the Fins that settled in the Monessen/Charleroi area along the Monongehela. They came to that area, many over a relatively short span of time, to work in the mining and steel industry. Something similar was the case with Swedes in Braddock/Swissvale.
Later Scandinavians came individually, often quite well educated; they blended in and were readily accepted.

The Coalition also facilitates communication about the safety, efficacy, and use of vaccines within the broad immunization community of patients, parents, health care organizations, and government health agencies. Click here for language specific Vaccine Information Statements (VIS). VIS are information sheets produced by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that explain to vaccine recipients, their parents, or their legal representatives both the benefits and risks of a vaccine.
