 The Mexican community in Pittsburgh has been growing in the past few decades. The community is comprised of a mix of students, professionals and families that study, work and live in the 'Burgh. Most Mexicans in Pittsburgh enjoy the diverse cultural and social aspects of the city, from the restaurants and entertainment events to the community parks, universities and colleges and local historical sites. Additionally, the thriving Latin American community provides a bilingual support group to newcomers
 Among some sites and events in Pittsburgh that may be of interest to newcomers are Cozumel Restaurant (Shadyside), Reyna Foods (Downtown), and Cinco de Mayo (Victory at the battle in Puebla) celebrations held around May 5th throughout the year. Pittsburgh is a city that has welcomed immigrants and visitors with open arms.

Mexico Lindo Mercado y Galeria de Artesanias
This store carries an astounding variety of crafts representing the traditions and arts of many of Mexico's indigenous peoples; such as pierced tin-work items and fixtures, Talavera ceramics from Puebla and
Oaxacan black pottery, and the distinctive textiles and patterns of many regions. Mexico Lindo seeks to educate the general public about both ancient and modern Mexican culture, arts, customs and cuisine and partners with other organizations such as LACU, CLAS, the Hispanic Center and local schools to contribute to fundraising efforts and special events, disseminate information for immigrants and others interested in current events in the Latino community and also provides on-site school field trips to discuss Mexican arts and culture.

Vaccine Information Statements
The IAC works to increase immunization rates and prevent disease by creating and distributing educational materials for health professionals and the public that enhance the delivery of safe and effective immunization services. The Coalition also facilitates communication about the safety, efficacy, and use of vaccines within the broad immunization community of patients, parents, health care organizations, and government health agencies.

VIS are information sheets produced by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that explain to vaccine recipients, their parents, or their legal representatives both the benefits and risks of a vaccine.
