The British-American Business Council - Pittsburgh Region, Inc. (BABC)
An international business association that promotes trade and investment between the United States and the United Kingdom.  Through an active program of events, publications, marketing and trade services, the BABC provides business contacts, promotional opportunities and information services to member corporations. The BABC - Pittsburgh Region is committed to forming domestic and transatlantic partnerships with other business/trade providers in order to create an environment where investment and trade can flourish.  Established in 1995, the BABC - Pittsburgh Region is one of 32 business Associations/chambers of commerce based throughout the United Kingdom and North America that comprise the internationally renowned 'British-American Business Council.'

Duquesne University Chrysler Corporation SBDC's - Export Trade Development Program (EX-TRADE) and the Center for European Technical Standards (CETS) - provide export consulting, international market research, CE marketing assistance, and international trade seminars to companies in Southwestern Pennsylvania. EX-TRADE and CET's mission is to assist 'entry-to-export' manufacturing, technology and service companies to market their products overseas. Through the 'International Students and Pittsburgh Business Community Linkage Program,' companies can meet with foreign nationals to learn about business and cultural issues for their target country.

The Office of International Business Development
Provides a trade development program that includes the tools for export finance, overseas market entry strategy, and industry and technology focused trade events. The Office serves as a liaison between the regional network and 17 overseas representatives to enable Pennsylvania firms to expand their sales into international markets and to increase the number of Pennsylvania firms selling products and services overseas.

The Center for Global Competitiveness - Saint Vincent College
The Center assists companies with domestic and international market entry. The Center helps companies increase market presence through market research, strategic marketing plans, product promotion and placement evaluations, video conferencing facilities and international trade consulting including export planning, documentation and regulations, and financial business planning. The CGC also provides matching grant funds through their Global Assistance Program (GAP), used toward the development and implementation of new market strategies.

Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission International Trade Program
Serves small and medium sized companies in the nine-county Southwestern Pennsylvania region. Its trained staff offers one-on-one consulting services for export strategies, market and industry research, trade event preparation, as well as technical assistance on business negotiation, closing deals, payment terms, and export documentation.  As the regional coordinator for Export Development and Team Pennsylvania Export Network, SPC is responsible for connecting the companies in the region to the Pennsylvania overseas offices by contacting foreign representatives, submitting business requests, and monitoring the overseas services progresses. SPC also assists companies with export financing needs.

Export Assistance Center of Western PA, U.S. Department of Commerce
The U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Commercial Service, Export Assistance Center of Western Pennsylvania is located in Pittsburgh and covers the exporting needs of 31 counties in Western PA. Domestically, we have over 107 offices across the United States and internationally we have over 150 overseas offices located within U.S. Embassies and Consulates around the world. We are a federal agency that is in place soley for the purpose of helping U.S. companies export.

The U.S. Commercial Service assists U.S. companies in exporting by:
·        Providing expert counseling, advice, and advocacy
·        Producing research on overseas markets and industries
·        Promoting your product and service in overseas markets
·        Finding international partners (agents, distributors, JV, licensing, etc.)

Western PA District Export Council (WPADEC)
The Western PA District Export Council (WPADEC) is one of the 58 District Export Councils (DEC) that have been established across the
United States.  Members are your network for local trade expertise and are appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce.  All DEC members work under the same national mission to contribute leadership and international trade expertise that complements the U.S. Commercial Service’s export promotion efforts through counseling businesses on the exporting process and conducting trade education and community outreach.

The Urban Redevelopment Authority-International Division
Over the past decade, Pittsburgh has nurtured partnerships with cities in Europe and Asia in order to promote and sustain growth in our local economy. Partnerships have taken the form of both sister city relationships and business partnership relationships. The newly created International Division of the URA, will initiate and coordinate activities that will enhance and solidify governmental, business and cultural relationships between Pittsburgh, its sister cities and other foreign locations to help market Pittsburgh and enhance its global image.
