GlobalPittsburgh First Thursdays is a monthly night of networking and socializing where GlobalPittsburgh members and friends welcome State Department guests from abroad, international students and expatriates from all over the world. It's the easiest way to experience the world without leaving Pittsburgh

Come practice language skills, meet others working in the international realm, make new friends who share global interests, and learn firsthand about what is happening outside the U.S. For newcomers, it's a great way to connect with others from their country or with people from other countries who are sharing the same experience of being far from home. Everyone is welcome!

In November, our partner is CISV Pittsburgh, the local chapter of CISV International which aims to educate and inspire action for a more just and peaceful world. CISV provides unique, educational programs for children ages 11 - 18 through international camps that develop cross-cultural friendship and instill empathy and leadership skills kids take with them for life. Each year, they send children to programs in countries like Italy, Indonesia, Brazil, and Norway as well as host international programs in Pittsburgh for children from around the world to experience the United States first hand.

Thank you to GlobalPittsburgh First Thursdays' sponsors Cohen & Grigsby law firm and UPMC.
