GlobalPittsburgh First Thursdays is a monthly night of networking and socializing where GlobalPittsburgh members and friends welcome State Department guests from abroad, international students and expatriates from all over the world. It's the easiest way to experience the world without leaving Pittsburgh

Come practice language skills, meet others working in the international realm, make new friends who share global interests, and learn firsthand about what is happening outside the U.S. For newcomers, it's a great way to connect with others from their country or with people from other countries who are sharing the same experience of being far from home. Everyone is welcome!

In March, GlobalPittsburgh will be hosting an international delegation of 20 government representatives, academics, language instructors, and educators participating in a project entitled, "Education in the Digital Age." The participants in the program are from African Union, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Brazil, Burma, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ethiopia, Israel, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Morocco, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, Tajikistan, and Vietnam. They have been invited to the U.S. under the auspices of the Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program. We invited them to be our special guests at the event.
