GlobalPittsburgh hosted 11 entrepreneurs from for a U.S. State Department sponsored IVLP program on Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management. The group had a chance to visit local entrepreneurial support organizations such as AlphaLab Gear, the City of Pittsburgh, Idea Foundry, Magarac Venture Partners, and the University of Pittsburgh Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Outside of their professional meetings, the group was able to tour the Pitt Nationality Rooms, participate in a Global Intersector Happy Hour, and spent time with their Pittsburgh host families. Some of the group were even interviewed for WPXI-TV's Our Region's Business program, further showing that the enrichment from international perspectives has mutual benefit for visitors and for the Pittsburgh community.
