May 16-21, GlobalPittsburgh hosted an IVLP delegation on the project, "Advancing an Open, Reliable, and Secure Digital Economy". Six policy influencers, think tank representatives, academics, and entrepreneurs from Morocco, Nepal, Brazil, Angola, Lebanon, and Nigeria were in Pittsburgh exchanging best practices in internet policy, resources, and opportunities for enhanced security with their American counterparts.
Great discussions this morning with the Carnegie Mellon University's Department of Engineering and Public Policy and Center for Executive Education in Technology Policy (CEE-TP), Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy, Arch Access Control, ARM Institute, Catalyst Connections, CMU Manufacturing Futures Institute, Dentons Cohen & Grigsby, and the U.S. Attorney's Office for Western PA.
The group enjoyed the Global Intersector with international leaders networking event, visited the Monongahela Incline, cruised the rivers on the Gateway Clipper and stopped at the Millvale Music Festival. They had dinners with local host families, too!
