March 13-19, GlobalPittsburgh hosted 11 NGO managers, community leaders, activists, academics, and government officials from Algeria, Burma, Chile, Georgia, Hong Kong S.A.R., India, Morocco, Nepal, Norway, Pakistan, and Samoa, under the auspices of the U.S. Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) project "NGO Management".

The group had an amazing visit to YouthPlaces. "Passionate. Engaging. Informative. Warm and all-inclusive", they said. On Tuesday, they met with Bender Consulting Services, Inc., Inc. and The Education Partnership. The delegates enjoyed learning about excess food distribution from the team at 412 Food Rescue. The meeting with the board members and staff of the Foundation of HOPE allowed for a discussion about keeping incarcerated individuals out of the cycle of adjudication. The visitors had a chance to learn about an automated volunteer management software Civic Champs from its co-founder and CEO.

The group enjoyed volunteering at Dress for Success Pittsburgh and home hospitality - dinners with local families.
