GlobalPittsburgh arranged local programming for 6 leaders from Algeria focusing on supporting and promoting startups in their country. The delegates were invited to the U.S. under the auspices of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) "Promoting Entrepreneurship and Startups."
The visitors had the pleasure of learning from and sharing their best practices with Michael Matesic of Idea Foundry, Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh, Ujamaa Collective, Nationality Rooms and Intercultural Exchange Programs, Carnegie Mellon University's Project Olympus, Regional Industrial Development Corporation (RIDC)'s Mill 19, PGH Lab, learning about and volunteering at Global Links. They were invited to have dinner with the local host families and enjoyed the performance of "Frida...A Self Portrait" thanks to Pittsburgh Public Theater.
