August 20-23, GlobalPittsburgh hosted a delegation from Northern Ireland under the auspices of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) project "Promoting Social Cohesion and Countering Polarization". The five municipal leaders, law enforcement officials, and health professionals have spent four days in Pittsburgh (out of 10 days in the U.S.) exchanging best practices and shared vision about anti-violence initiatives and building community trust with their counterparts at the Collaboratory Against Hate: Research and Action Center, IDeaS Center - Center for Informed Democracy and Social Cybersecurity, Department of Public Safety, the City of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, leaders of the Eradicate Hate Summit, Dr. Maureen Anderson of Gwen's Girls, and Mike Matesic of Idea Foundry.

We are grateful for our local partners who helped tremendously in welcoming the group and making their stay in our city valuable, memorable, and fun.
