August 11-17, GlobalPittsburgh is hosting an International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) delegation of 8 representatives of refugee assistance agencies, policymakers, and community leaders dealing with refugee and immigrant issues from Germany, Lithuania, Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, Cyprus, and Czech Republic. During their three programming days, they discussed best practices in educating multicultural children with the ESL Director of Pittsburgh Public Schools and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law's clinics assisting refugees in Pittsburgh, had dynamic discussions with Global Wordsmiths and ANSAR of Pittsburgh, Idea Foundry and the City of Pittsburgh Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs and Allegheny County Department of Human Services. We thank our partners for sharing their expertise with the visiting delegates.
