October 18-21, in partnership with Meridian International Center, GlobalPittsburgh hosted a delegation from Pakistan under the auspices of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) project "Research, Innovation, and Commercialization for the 21st Century." Ten officials, professors, and entrepreneurs are visiting Pittsburgh as a part of their 2-week national program to discuss how U.S. research institutions work with the private sector, explore the role of business incubators, speak to women and youth who are driving economic growth in their communities through entrepreneurial initiatives, among other goals.
We are grateful for our regional partners that shared their expertise with the visitors: Idea Foundry, Carnegie Mellon University's Center for Technology Transfer and Enterprise Creation, Ascender, and Chatham University's Center for Women's Entrepreneurship (CWE).
The group enjoyed the Nationality Rooms and Intercultural Exchange Programs tour at the University of Pittsburgh and Innovation Works' and BNY Mellon #UpPrize Social Innovation Challenge Final Showcase.
