April 3-6, GlobalPittsburgh hosted the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) group from Turkmenistan on the project "Strengthening E-governance Capacity for the Academy of Civil Service".
Four representatives from the Academy of Civil Service met with their colleagues at the Carnegie Mellon University Open Learning Initiative and AI Institute for Societal Decision Making, the Readiness Institute at Penn State, University of Pittsburgh's Center for Governance and Markets, Center for Russian, East European, & Eurasian Studies, and learned about the University of Pittsburgh’s pilot fully online Master of Data Science (MDS) program.
The group enjoyed a brief interaction with the Russian language students at Pitt and discussed the traditions of Turkmenistan.
