June 7-13, 2023, GlobalPittsburgh hosted a delegation from Armenia under the auspices of the U.S. Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) project "Strengthening Law Enforcement Public Relations and Community Outreach".
We thank our community partners who took their time to meet with the visitors to discuss community policing, including the Ross Township Police Department, Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, Allegheny County Police Training Academy, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh, Citizen Police Review Board of Pittsburgh, and University of Pittsburgh Police Department.
Community members joined the group for an informal get-together on Wednesday evening in a beautiful North Park which the visitors said reminded them of their home city Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.
