October 4-9, in partnership with Meridian International Center, GlobalPittsburgh hosted a delegation from 16 countries under the auspices of the U.S. Department of State International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) project "U.S. Energy Policy – Security, Independence, and Innovation". Seventeen government officials, political and NGO leaders, scientists, academics, and journalists involved in developing, influencing, implementing, and reporting on energy innovation, security, and policy visited Pittsburgh as a part of their 3-week national program to discuss strategies for energy resource management with their American counterparts.

We are grateful for our regional partners that shared their expertise with the visitors: Idea Foundry, Westinghouse, GRID Institute Swanson School of Engineering, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh International Airport, and Seneca Landfill.

The group enjoyed the Global Intersector networking happy hour with the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative fellows from Singapore, Indonesia, Moldova, and Belarus/Poland and the local community members at the end of their professional program.
