GlobalPittsburgh recently hosted four fellows from the Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Initiative (YTILI), a U.S. Department of State professional exchange for emerging business leaders from Europe. Selected through a highly competitive process by American Councils and U.S. Embassy staff, YTILI Fellows represent the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, and business leaders, with experience in social entrepreneurship, innovation, private business, and start-up development.

Over the course of their four-week fellowships, the fellows were placed in local organizations where they gained hands-on experience, contributed to substantive projects, and built professional networks. The program emphasizes mutually beneficial professional exchanges, providing fellows direct exposure to the day-to-day operations of U.S. organizations while offering host organizations valuable international perspectives and expertise.

GlobalPittsburgh worked closely with the fellows and their host organizations to ensure tailored placements, meaningful engagement, and opportunities for long-term collaboration. Through these experiences, both U.S. hosts and European fellows strengthened transatlantic partnerships, promoted innovation, and fostered sustainable professional relationships.
